I don’t know what it is but recently I have had an obsession with smoothie bowls. However, I’m trying to not spend all my life savings buying these. That’s why I’ve been testing out the best (and more healthy) ways to make these at home with health-enhancing toppings.
I decided to try and make my own granola, as store-bought often has a ton of added processed sugar’s that I’m not a huge fan of. Feel free to add other nuts, or dried fruit to this recipe if you like these in your granolas.

Serves
A lot
Ingredients
- 3 Cups Rolled Oats
- 1/2 Cup Hemp Seeds
- 1/4 Cup Chia Seeds
- 2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
- 1/3 Cup Honey
- 2 Egg Whites
- 1 Tbsp Organic Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 tsp Pure Almond Extract
- 1/2 tsp salt (I like to use himalyan)
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
Steps
1
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.
2
Mix the oats, hemp, and chia seeds in a bowl and set aside.
3
In a microwave safe bowl add the coconut oil and melt. Once coconut is melted add the honey, egg whites, vanilla, almond, salt, and cinnamon to the coconut oil. Mix WELL.
4
Mix the wet and dry ingredients together.
5
Spread the mixture evenly onto a large baking tray with parchment paper. Cook for 30-35 mins, stirring around the granola half way through. (Granola will crisp up more than it may seem when it first comes out of the oven)
I recommend storing this granola in the fridge/freezer if you don’t plan to eat it all within 4 days as it tends to go a bit stale over time.
